Healing Ourselves. Healing the Planet.

9/26/2017

It's time to care for each other. The Earth has provided us so many gifts for our own healing, including fertile grounds, stones and crystals, plant medicines, ancient temples of beautiful old growth groves, pristine waters, and the air that we breathe. The Earth has provided only healing to support us in our human evolution, diversity, and soulful development. The question becomes then… What have we given back? What are we willing and ready to give back to be an active participant in expressing gratitude for the healing of the planet and the species that share in inhabiting it?

Shifting with the Eclipse: Peace, Love, and Healing the Planet

Time to get our total solar eclipse intention on! Imagine how many people will have their attention tuned into the same event, at the same time. This is a precious opportunity for opening our hearts, and radiating those peaceful, healing, and compassionate vibes for ourselves, our family, community, county, state, the country, the oceans and seas, all over the world, our planet, our solar system, and beyond. This positively helps shift our own energy field to a higher spiritual vibration. Multiply these effects by millions, can positively influence the energetic field of the planet. Scientists discovered right before and after 9-11-2001 there were heightened waves of energy in the Earth's electronic field. These were atypical patterns, and have led to the hypothesis that energetically we are so connected, that somehow there was a sense or knowledge of what was to come. The emotions following 9-11 also seemed to have led to another spike in Earth's magnetic field. So, let's come together as a global community, with our renewed intentions, and spend a few seconds or more during the eclipse holding a peaceful vision for our planet.

Why am I interested in Shamanism? What is it?

I've included the following words by Sandra Ingerman, a well-known author, and respected teacher in Shamanic studies as my answer:

"One of the beauties of shamanism, it's not just about healing as I've been talking about power loss, soul loss, intrusions and possessing spirits, but shamanism is a way of life. The practice of shamanism includes changing how we think, changing how we daydream, bringing gratitude practices into our life, spending more time in nature and looking at how we can honor and respect nature. And as we're beings of nature ourselves, what changes do we need to make in our life so that we start to honor and respect ourselves and show self-love for our self just like we do for the planet? Those are some of the individual ways that shamans work with healing. There's also another way that shamans work which is really where my work has evolved too is when you look at some shamanic cultures around the world, shamans actually work with radiating light. As they radiate light like a star in the night sky or the sun during the day, it actually stimulates the spiritual light of the client to start flowing through their own body. That uplifts them and heals them in the process without actually not having to perform any kind of healing method at all. It's also the way that working to reverse how people use spiritual methods to reverse environmental pollution and to heal the planet right now is through radiating light."

Embrace Gratitude. Awakening the Spiritual Heart
Healing Ourselves. Healing the Planet.

And, The Embrace Gratitude Workbook & Journal. Coming in 2018! Well that's the plan anyhow. Still lots of work to do to bring this to complete fruition. This is a book I've been working on for some time, in the form of some pretty powerful life experiences, both new and maturing insights, and several manuscripts that have been waiting to find their home and place of expression. You can learn more about the Embrace Gratitude movement by clicking on this book. I envision myself offering Embrace Gratitude Workshops and Retreats when the book and workbook are published. Stay tuned.

Energy Healing Update: Individuals and Couples

I continue to offer energy healing during sessions for interested clients. I've found that an energy healing/ chakra balancing can quickly help move clients from an emotionally stuck place. Clients report finding the experience both relaxing and energizing, some have described it feeling like they can finally breathe, like a weight has been lifted from them. I also enjoy offering energy healing to couples. I work first to assess and balance each person individually, then move to working directly with the couple. This can be a fun and intimacy building experience.

I've added energy tune-ups for $50.00 (up to 1/2 hour session) to my offerings, and couples energy healing sessions (up to 1 1/4 hr) for $125.00.

What is Sedona - A Spiritual Spa Experience? What's the history?

6/27/2017

My vision: You will be able to create a personalized spiritual spa experience for yourself, a small group, or someone you know. Sedona in Eugene - A Spiritual Spa Experience offers the opportunity to create a one-time healing experience, or even your own mini-retreat. Depending on how you schedule your chosen services and other healing practitioners you may arrange with, you can extend your healing and nurturing experience over a few to several days, or even weeks or months. Offerings include heart-opening and healing experiences that can deepen relaxation, encourage a happier and freer life, release emotional and energy blocks, and enliven and ignite your passion for working on meaningful life dreams.
My sincere intention is that I (or a member of my trusted team) will personally research (and, if possible, visit) the healing practitioners included on this site, to create a resource for finding uniquely skilled, alternative healing providers, and information on creating your own healing and/or spiritual retreat. My vision and hope is that Eugene residents or visitors to the area will be able to arrange a personalized healing experience with me and/or a member of my team, and coordinate with a variety of practitioners to create their own healing and retreat experience locally (in Eugene), and in Sedona.
A little history:

First of all I live in Eugene, Oregon which is located about an hour from the Pacific Ocean and one hour from the mountains. It's the home of the University of Oregon Ducks, brings many visitors for the lively annual Oregon Country Fair, has lots of trees, has a laid back feel, and joins the ranks as one of the Tie-Dye Capitals of the West Coast. As for the Sedona Arizona connection, I love it there. I enjoy the hiking, crystal shops, energetic vortexes, the spiritual retreat offerings, and the mellow and enlightened vibe. In January 2014, I had a hypothetical discussion about what I'd do if I ever moved to Sedona, even for a few years. The words that came out of my mouth were what laid the foundation of Sedona In Eugene - A Spiritual Spa Experience. I answered that I'd offer a series of retreats, start a counseling and coaching business, and explore different expressions of healing (vibrational sound and energy healing, spiritual coaching, personal growth retreats and workshops, etc).

I don't know if I'll ever really move to Sedona, but I started thinking about what was truly stopping me from living my "Sedona Dream." Did I need to win the lottery? Did I need to have some sort of new and improved "enlightened experience?" What was stopping me? Soon I embarked on bringing some of that Sedona energy to my home town of Eugene. I began with starting a private coaching and counseling practice, offering small personal growth retreats in my home, and started studying some alternative healing modalities that had caught my interest, such as vibrational sound healing, and shamanism. The offerings you see here and on my other websites are part of my earlier vision. I eventually traveled to Peru and learned more about energy healing, and also about myself in the process, which gave me a firmer vision and more self-confidence to move forward with my Sedona Dream. Although, the timing wasn't quite right. Life provided more opportunities including starting and growing a neurofeedback business, getting trained and certified in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, working on another book, and managing a full counseling-coaching practice. However, the dream never ceased and now it feels like it's the time...
I share my story in hopes of inspiring others like me, who have thought they needed to have all the elements right to try something new and inspirational. Sometimes you just have to put one step in front of the other and try. So in 2017, after the dream continued to call me, I started Sedona in Eugene - A Spiritual Spa Experience. Currently, my main offerings are energy healing, spiritual coaching, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, counseling, and spiritual-focused mindfulness training using specialized neurofeedback technology. More to come...
What's coming next?

-Recommendations on how to be your own healer and teacher, and how to create your own retreat.
-Recommendations for other spiritually-minded and healing practitioners located in the Eugene (Lane County area), including massage therapists, yoga instructors, life coaches, and a variety of healers.
-Resource information about workshops, retreats, or individual offerings in Eugene and Sedona, geared towards heightening Spiritual Growth and Self-Awareness.
-Resource information on where to purchase your own healing supplies (including tuning forks, singing bowls, crystals, and specific reading material) will be included.
-Cathy's second book, and information on public and private offerings.
